Company Profile
BeltMaster was established in 1993 after extensive research
into the conveyor belting needs of the mining industry. What emerged
was that South Africa was not producing one of the most commonly
used conveyor belt-fasteners in use specifically used in underground
coal mining operations. The mining industry was thus being held
hostage to the vagaries of an ever-weakening currency resulting
in ever-increasing mining costs.
Recognising the need for high quality, reliable conveyor belting
supplies, and after extensive research and development, CAID
Industries, t/a BeltMaster® was registered in 1997.
The business is now a B.E.E, (Black Economic Empowerment) Company
owned by Mr. Nkwana Nyamane.
BeltMaster produces conveyor belt rollers (both Troughing
and Return Rollers) using a patented design that allows for a quick
and efficient assembly of the product. BeltMaster also produces
a full range of Impact Rollers on order (both 25 and 30 series).
These rollers are a standard production item, and do not incorporate
the patented method used for the Troughing and Return Rollers. The
factory also produces the necessary structure (frames) to carry
the conveyor rollers, from garland structures to standard type brackets
as well as customised structures.
BeltMaster was the first company in South Africa to successfully
manufacture a replacement wire hook belt-fastener. These had previously
been imported into South Africa at great cost. Manufacturing locally
not only afforded local employment opportunities but also provided
the South African mining industry with access to readily available,
affordable and reliable products.
Our factory is situated in Benrose, Johannesburg
where all manufacturing, production and assembly occurs.
